Nominations are over!

Nominations are over. There are still some fandom/character nominations that are waiting on approval, however, the fandoms and characters that have been nominated and approved are what will be eligible for sign ups later this month by the 18th. With that said, before we can open sign ups, we need to clean up our nomination tag set.

Do you see duplicate characters? Characters that were nominated/approved but aren't showing up? Discrepancies on fandoms/characters that were approved? Something else concerning the tag set? Let us know within the comments below so we can fix it.

The Dragon Age fandom and characters are showing up in Anime, Cartoons & Comics, and Books, when it should be in Video Games only, as it doesn't look like any of the nommed characters are in the tie in novels/comics exclusively! You also have that listed under Video Games as "Dragon Age" and "Dragon Age: Origins", but Merrill is mostly a DAII character, and so are Anders and Isabela (though they do crossover), so it might be easier to group them all under the "Dragon Age" umbrella rather than the exact game, unless the person requesting them specifically wants the Origins versions of those characters, in which case they can specify at signups? I'm not sure, but thought I'd mention it!

"Varric Tethas" in unassociated should be under Dragon Age II/2, or the Dragon Age umbrella, in Video Games.

Enjolras in unassociated should be under Theater, for Les Miserables, since that's the only version I see nommed, aside from the book and it says musical/move in his listing!

Carlotta should be under Literature, in Le Fantome de l'Opera, I think.

Under "Dollhouse", Priya Tsetsang is the same character as Sierra, more or less, so there might be a combined tag for them available.

Under "Cartoons & Comics & Graphic Novels" you have "Thor (Movies)" listed, when that should be under movies only.

And under "Books & Literature" you have "Les miserables (movie or musical) listed, which seems to exclude the novel, so that should go under theater and movies, not books, methinks?

That's all I noticed, feel free to ignore if I'm wrong on any!

"Vergil (Devil May Cry)" is mistakenly listed under Assassin's Creed. he's also listed under the correct fandom, though~

Under "TV Shows," you have "The Dresden Files -- Jim Butcher." That's the book series...which is also listed under "Books." The TV series The Dresden Files is different, has a few characters with different names, and still qualifies as a Yuletide fandom.

Sorry, we can't change the categories anything appear in within the tag set (that depends on where the tags have been wrangled to). As it is listed with an author, it is the book fandom, not the tv show that is nominated.

The Dragon Age thing appears to be an artifact of the way the tags are wrangled: that form of the tag is synonymous with "Dragon Age -- All Media Types," which includes the comic books and the novels and the anime. I think it might be less confusing in the long run to have "Dragon Age" be synonymous with "Dragon Age (Video Games)," and to have "All Media Types" be a separate tag, but that's ultimately an issue for the AO3 wranglers.

(Is there a way to provide feedback to the wranglers about such things?)

Edited to remove a comment about the NPT mods being able to delete DA from the other categories (I missed the comment where they can't), and to add: I actually nominated Carlotta for the musical, not the book, though somebody else may have nominated her for the book.
