Changing your work's date

Someone in #yulechat noticed a difference in hits between stories in a fandom and someone else suggested that it was probably because of the dates the stories were uploaded. I'm all for participants gaining more hits, kudos, and comments, so if you want to do it, go right ahead and change your dates.
To change your dates to a recent date (like today), go to your work and edit it. Scroll all the way down where you see the box called Associations. The first option you see is 'Post to Collections / Challenges' (which should be linked to notprimetime2014) so you know you're in the right place.
Scroll down some more in that Associations box until you see the option for 'Set a different publication date.' Click on the box and a new option of 'Set publication date' pops up. Change it to the current date. This cannot be set into the future, but it can be set to today.
Then scroll all the way to the bottom, hit Preview, then Update. Or Post Without Preview, whichever one you prefer.
It can take AO3 a bit for the changed date to show up, so be patient.
