bridgetmkennittHere are some miscellaneous announcements regarding Not Prime Time:
1. A few more people have been added to NPT's banned list, mostly for defaulting two consecutive years in a row without writing a full length treat, Hiatus fic, or pinch hit. This means they cannot participate in future rounds unless they write a completed fic in English over a thousand words. Usually this can be done through Hiatus Resolution. If you think this is you, you can email notprimetime AT gmail DOT com.
2. With Yuletide's new ruling about fanworks (you can see its eligibility here), I am strongly considering allowing fanworks into NPT as we do allow fandoms that are ineligible from Yuletide into NPT. However, nothing definite will be announced until after Yuletide. This will allow us to see what fanworks are allowed in and what isn't. At the bare minimum, fanworks would need a canonical fandom tag on AO3.
3. Along with #2, though Yuletide has raised their maximum limit for fandoms, NPT will remain with their minimum fandom limits. This means that even more fandoms will overlap between the two exchanges and that's okay. As long as a fandom meets our requirements, it will be considered eligible for NPT.
4. Prime Time Desserts - Because there's never enough desserts. NPT will be having an annual event called Prime Time Desserts. Starting from January until April, there will be four themes posted every month that people can write for and upload to the collection. The fills need to be completed, in English, and over 1000 words and will be promoted on our tumblr. More detail will be posted within the coming months.
5. Because Las Vegas and wanting to try something new, for the 2015 round, NPT will be instituting the Lucky Number Seven. There will be five fandoms on the megafandom list that will be voted on and allowed to be eligible for nominations and requests. The remaining two will be chosen by myself because of mod privileges ;) The pool of people who can vote this year will be those who have written full length treats, pinch hits, or Hiatus fics (not including those who only have a pinch hit as their assignment fic and nothing else previously listed) during the past three rounds. Each person will have 3 votes that they can use to either vote for a) three separate megafandoms, b) all three votes on one megafandom, or c) any which way in between.
The Lucky Number Seven voting will take place before nominations so if you want to vote, there is still time to write a Hiatus fic to become eligible for voting. Fics written for NPT_Producer instead of participants from the previous round can count for voting. Fics written for Prime Time Desserts will not count towards voting. The megafandom list, as a result, will close in January instead of April.
The results of the voting will only count for the 2015 round as a new voting will take place for the 2016 round, though the pool of eligible voters will come from those who have written full length treats, pinch hits or Hiatus fics during the 2015 round alone.
