Given the AO3 slowdowns and difficulty getting invites, I would be happy to "foster" a finished work for a few weeks so that folks without an AO3 account still had the opportunity to pinch hit. Then when the invite codes are back up and working we can coauthor/transfer the work. That way if someone didn't currently have an AO3 acct, they would still have the opportunity to pinch hit.
Hopefully there are not eleven zillion pinch hitters without AO3 accounts, but I want as many good pinch hitters as possible. :)
