Gargoyles and other fandoms

Regarding Gargoyles, Jenn and I looked on FFN and AO3 and regarding Yuletide criteria, Gargoyles is still eligible for Yuletide therefore making it ineligible for Not Prime Time. If the person who nominated it, or anyone else, has information that would suggest otherwise, please comment below with a link.

For anyone else planning to nominate a fandom that doesn't show its medium sized-ness on AO3 or FFN, please go ahead and comment below with a link. We would greatly appreciate it.

ETA: Adding Silent Hill, Tokyo Babylon, and Winx Club to the list of fandoms we're asking for more information regarding size. If the person who nominated it, or anyone else, has information that would suggest otherwise, please comment below with a link.

I'm the person who nominated Silent Hill! Uhm, there's not a whole lot on AO3 (only 87) but FF.net has 2,651 fics. It had its own exchange for a couple years but it's gone defunct (although not for lack of writer participation, just from lack of reliable modship). There are multiple LJ comms primarily for posting fanfic, particularly shslash which is updated fairly regularly.

Also, it definitely wasn't on the Yuletide list last year, but I didn't get any nominations in, so I don't know if that was from lack of being nominated or what.

Hello! According to Yuletide's eligibility, Does it have 1000+ completed stories of 1000+ words on fanfiction.net?, Silent Hill on FFN would only have 433 stories and could potentially be Yuletide eligibility without further evidence stating otherwise.

We did notice that it wasn't nominated nor was it mentioned specifically on that post, so we wanted to ask before we rejected or approved.

Technically, Silent Hill fits into our guidelines of not being on the Yuletide nomination list and not being on our megafandom list. We can go ahead and approve, with the caveat that a) it's possible you may not get matched on it and b) Yuletide mods might consider Silent Hill ineligible for Yuletide this coming year and you'll lose out on that opportunity.

Please let us know what your decision is.

Just putting in another nod from a person who'd be interested in having Silent Hill in the exchange; the games have been judged ineligible for yuletide for several years now. You can see them on the rejected list.

And just to clear up another potential Silent Hill question before it comes up with my own nominations: Cheryl Heather Mason (Shattered Memories) is a different character from Heather Mason (or from Cheryl Mason, if a third person adds her to the nomination list) and if anyone adds Michael Kaufmann without the game notation he's a different character from Dr. Michael Kaufmann (Shattered Memories). Shattered Memories is basically a canon AU where certain characters have the same names as others from the series but hugely different backstories/characterization.

Also, Paper Mario is definitely not yuletide eligible even though it really should be; for a past couple of years the mods ruling has been that the Maria franchise is too big a mess for them to sort out the fic for just one storyline within it so it all gets counted together.
